Weber Automotive has partnered with Virteom to engage our customers and users about our services and the technology behind the scenes. In our video series, our owner Bryan and Jacqui discuss topics that are taking Weber auto care to the next level. We implement technology with auto care and service. This video is all about our digital inspection service, which is all done digitally through a mobile device. Watch or read the transcription below!
We live in a digital age and even in the auto industry having digital services is really important. At Weber Automotive, we do something called digital inspections. What is that exactly?
Digital inspections are when we whenever we get a car in for any type of service it's very important and for us to look the car over, thoroughly. We do an inspection and have some varying points. Some points are comprehensive and some are brief, but what we do that is kind of unique is that digital inspection. We run through an inspection form, documenting all of our findings, and if there’s an issue, we take a picture of it and it gets attached to that part of the inspection.
We have tablets with the inspection form on it and then there's anywhere between 30 to 80 point inspections that we do when we run this - depending on what the customer's needs are. In addition to noting specific verbiage relating to the part, issue, or image, our techs can also take a picture on the tablet of an area of concern. Check out our technician taking photos with a Weber tablet in the photo.
This is great for documentation and also to show the customer if they're not at our facility when we want to go over this with them. We can send that via email or text and they can see actually what we're talking about and what we're looking at in their car. In this case, we can say “Look at this with us and we'll show you exactly what we're talking about on your vehicle” there's no question that it's good for credibility - good to remove any question marks left on the owner’s mind. Especially questions they may not know to ask.
We have supporting descriptions of that area of the car and how it's supposed to work, this is why it's important that it gets attached to that picture for the owner.
When buying a used car, it’s a great idea to get a pre-purchase inspection. If you've looked at a used car being sold, there's always a sticker on the window with it a “As Is” box checked. Once you buy it, it's yours and so are the problems. So, you want to know of the problems the car has before you buy it for sure.
If you're looking to make sure the used car you're buying is in tip-top shape or if you just need to get your car generally inspected, come to Weber Automotive! They're going to teach you as you go, their incredible digital services allow them to work with you either at your appointment, when you're at home, or whatever is flexible for your schedule.
