Prevent Rust on Your Car

Rusty Vehicles in Northeast Ohio

In Cleveland and anywhere where it snows, we all have one enemy in common – rust.

Why Do Cars Rust?

Salt Rust

The weather we experience here in the winter can really do damage to our cars, not to mention how difficult it makes it to drive.

The salt we pour onto the roads to create better driving conditions can actually eat away at the metals on your car.

Dirt Rust

Dirt can also accelerate the rust on your car because it can hold onto moisture.

How To Prevent My Car from Rusting?

The solution to both of the rust-causing elements above is to keep your car clean! Washing your vehicle often, both in summer and in winter, can help protect materials on your car and prevent rust.

Whether you wash your car yourself or take it through a car wash, make sure that the underside of your car is getting clean too. Most car washes have an under-car spray system, sometimes it costs a little extra, but it is well worth it to prevent the bottom of your car from rusting out!
