Everybody knows that automobiles require periodic oil and filter changes. However, many people do not realize that joints in the front ends of modern-day cars are permanently lubricated. This means they no longer need to be greased with periodic shop visits.
This was not always the case. In the good ol' days, many front-end components in an automobile—such as ball joints and tie rods— needed this kind of service. That's because when parts weren't lubricated, they scraped against each other like two pieces of sandpaper—causing costly damage.
However, not having grease fittings doesn't mean there’s nothing needing to be lubed. Door hinges and hood latches still need to be lubed periodically so they don't wear out prematurely. Lubing can also protect them from the corrosive effects of road salt.
At Weber Automotive, with every oil change we will lubricate the parts that still require greasing. That way, we will prolong their life and minimize the possibility of weird squeaks and screeches.
We’re proud to provide our customers with the kind of keen attention to detail sorely lacking in many of today's repair shops. To learn more, check us out at https://weberautomotive.com/.
