1936 Ford Custom Coupe North Ridgeville
You are viewing Don M.’s 1936 Custom Ford Coupe from North Ridgeville, Ohio. We originally built the engine in this vehicle nearly ten years earlier, but Don was so impressed with the performance of his existing engine that he wanted to make some additional improvements so that it would produce even more horsepower. In 2013, we pulled the engine in Don’s 1936 Coupe, performed all the necessary machine work on the cylinder block and internal engine components. After the cylinder block was fully prepped, we then proceeded to install well matched performance engine parts to help Don achieve his horsepower goals.
On Don’s 350 Chevy engine we added Forged pistons, a hydraulic roller camshaft, Dart Pro 1 cylinder heads and mounted the existing Weiand supercharger and carburetor to the intake manifold. Since these cylinder heads had a slightly different exhaust port location, we modified brackets within the engine compartment to clear the exhaust headers. Once installed and tuned, Don was impressed with the streetability of his new engine and the added horsepower it produces.
As a valued customer, Don also entrusted us with adding a full compliment of gauges in the cabin so that he could visibly monitor the performance of his engine and critical fluid data.
